Our Mission
K-9 Caring Angels Therapy & Service Dogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and communities across Virginia, Maryland, and DC through the training and placement of highly skilled therapy and service dogs.
Every dog we train represents more than companionship — it’s a bridge to recovery, resilience, and reintegration. We partner closely with local departments, schools, and community programs to ensure our dogs serve with purpose and impact where they’re needed most.

When our daughter deployed to Afghanistan with the U.S. Air Force, we saw firsthand the challenges service members face when they return home. Her journey — and the difference a well-trained service dog made in her recovery — inspired us to help others find the same comfort, confidence, and connection.
Today, K-9 Caring Angels trains and places therapy and service dogs that support veterans, first responders, and the communities that stand beside them. Every dog we train honors those who serve, and every placement reminds us why we began: to help others heal — one dog at a time.
